I’m running for the North Carolina House of Representatives, District 3, because I believe leadership should be accountable, accessible, and truly serve the people — not political parties or special interests.
Too often, decisions are made behind closed doors, and the voices of everyday families, workers, and small business owners are left out of the conversation. As a wife, mother, and long-time community advocate, I’ve lived the realities that so many in Craven County face. That’s why I believe that when government works for the people, communities thrive.
I’m running as an Unaffiliated Candidate because I refuse to be controlled by party politics. My loyalty is to you — the people of Craven County — and to building a stronger, safer, and more united community.
📝 Getting on the Ballot
Because I’m running unaffiliated, I must collect over 3,000 petition signatures to secure my place on the ballot. It’s not easy — but it’s meaningful. This process keeps the power in the hands of the people, not political machines.
You can help by signing the petition in person or hosting a petition event. Visit the Get Involved page or contact us directly to learn more.
🎯 My Promise to You
If elected, I will work every day to:
• Put people over politics
• Invest in public education
• Support all businesses and grow job opportunities
• Honor veterans and military families
• Advance accountability and fight for term limits
• Make sure every voice in Craven County is not only heard — but matters
Together, we can move beyond party lines and bring real leadership and real solutions to District 3.
We’re gathering signatures to get Jameesha Harris on the ballot as an Unaffiliated Candidate for NC House District 3.
So far, 25 Craven County voters have signed!
