I’m running for the North Carolina House of Representatives, District 3 because leadership should be accountable, accessible, and focused on real people — not politics as usual.
Too often, decisions are made behind closed doors, leaving families, workers, and small business owners out of the conversation. As a wife, mother, and community advocate, I’ve lived the realities that so many in Craven County face firsthand.
I believe that when government works for the people, communities thrive — and that’s the leadership I’ll bring to Raleigh.
I’m running as an Unaffiliated Candidate because my commitment is to Craven County — not to political parties, special interests, or political machines.
Because I’m running Unaffiliated, the rules are different:
I must collect over 3,000 signatures from registered voters in Craven County to secure my place on the ballot.
It’s not easy — but it’s meaningful.
It keeps the power exactly where it belongs: with the people.

If elected, I will work every day to:
• Invest in public education and support our students and teachers.
• Grow jobs and small businesses with more career training and local opportunities.
• Honor veterans and military families by expanding access to healthcare, housing, and career support.
• Strengthen public safety and mental health resources to build safer, healthier communities.
• Protect our land, water, and infrastructure with smart investments in resilience and rural broadband.
• Put people first — making sure every voice in Craven County is heard and respected.
Together, we can build a stronger Craven County — one where every family, every worker, and every community has the opportunity to thrive.
We’re gathering signatures to get Jameesha Harris on the ballot as an Unaffiliated Candidate for NC House District 3.
So far, 220 Craven County voters have signed!
